Good Sam UMC in 1967-75

From The 1975 Annual Report of Good Sam:

• JoAnne Avery was the Minister of Music with 50 youth in the Good Sam Singers!
• Ruth Rupel was the Organist & Arle Jean Brawn was the Chancel Choir Director
• 1975 Annual Church Budget was $129,854 with Stewardship run by Bob Doverspike
• Board of Trustees was:  Dear Percy, Rudy Brabenec, John Christie, Fran Kennedy, Bill Melanson, Fred Robinett, Ken Sauer, and Conrad Toepfer.
• Rev. Ernie Bringas started at Good Sam in 1969 with 12 kids, and by 1971 grew it to 100 and added the Good Sam Singers.  
• Ernie split the one YF group into 3 different groups/nights in 1972, and the weekly attendance of all three grew to 300 youth feeding in from 12 high schools in the Santa Clara county!!!
• In 1975, Ernie Bringas, was appointed to his own church in Vallejo
• The UMW Officers in '75 were:  Arle Jean Brawn, Jeannine Maffey, Evelyn DeVeaux, Doris Hubbard, Betty Buck, Ruth Rupel, Midge Anderson, Bev Toepfer, Alice Courtis, Marge Dunn, Joyce Oldfield, Hazel Cook, Ilene Young, and Dorothy Summers.
• Camp Celebration was held on Aug 15-21, 1975 at a cost of $65
• In 1975, Roy Dunn asked Ted Larson to take a break from seminary for one year to be the youth minister after Ernie left.
• The YF Counselors then were: Chuck Austin, Jo Avery, Brian Foster, Valerie Vlahakis, Steve Elam, Nadine Melanson, Sandy Merritt, and Dave Rupel.
• The YF Executive Council that year was: 
  John Brawn, Chuck Merritt, Traci Wilson, & Don Kinney.
• In 1975, membership in all Jr Hi, Sr Hi and college groups was about 200.
